Don Cuco y Doña Lupe Peralta came to the United States in 1984 and only 3 years later they started in the food business with a “little truck” of tacos.
Mariela, their daughter, helped them fom a very young age. Her days were spent visiting the “bodega”, cutting onions, or preparing food. The aromas of the food and the environment in which she grew up filled her with joy, happiness and motivation.
The years went by. The Don Cuco y Doña Lupe Peralta business grew to become the famous and well known restaurant “El Grullo”.
Mariela also grew up and worked 9 years managing the business until she had the opportunity to start her own path; instead of running a franchise of “El Grullo”, she chose to create a new concept.
As a tribute to the 30 years of work of her parents, and inspired by their recipes and the seasoning developed for them, she decided to give a twist to Mexican dishes through an innovative business.
So, in 2019, Cuco’s Burritos was born, with a renewed and updated menu, offering freshly prepared food and Mexican dishes wrapped in burritos, capturing the essence of the typical dishes that for 3 decades, her parents have offered with so much love and dedication.
